Sowing: If you have a short growing season or want to get a head start, plant Muskmelon seeds indoors in individual containers or pots.
Outdoors: Plant after the last frost date
Sow Muskmelon seeds in hills (mounds of earth) or rows. Can also be grown in pots or grow bags
For regular muskmelons, sow three to four seeds per hill or pot,
Plant seeds one inch deep and thin the seedlings 18 to 24 inches apart or the equivalent (two plants every 36 inches or three plants every 48 inches in the hill system). Space rows at least 5 feet apart.
Harvest; When muskmelons are ripe, the rind changes from a green to tan or yellow between the netting. They should be picked when the stem separates easily from the vine near the point of attachment
Ideal to grow in greenhouses and cold frames
For compact growing Muskmelon plants can be trained to a fence or trellis
can be grown in pots or growbags
